At the helm of the brand is Jose Arnaldo Blanco, universally known in the industry as “Jochy.” A true Master Blender and tobacco grower, Jochy’s passion and lifelong dedication to the leaf have made Tabacalera Palma a powerhouse in Santiago since its formal roots in 1936. While many brands buy their tobacco from brokers, Jochy grows his own on some of the most fertile farms in the Dominican Republic. This vertical integration allows for complete control over the fermentation and aging room processes, guaranteeing that a Galera cigars box always delivers an exceptionally consistent draw and burn.
