Cigarillos

Cigarillos are small-sized cigars with a tapped head. They are characterized by a less than 40 ring gauge and usually measure under 5 inches. Some brands refer to them as “small cigars,” “mini cigarillo,” or “purity.” In fact, they are a polarizing presence in the cigar world. You either favor or scorn them—there doesn't seem to be an in-between. However, they are actually quite popular in Europe, unlike in the United States, where large cigars are trendy. There are two groups of small cigars: the generic machine-made ones and the hand-rolled cigarillos. Unlike traditional premium cigars, the majority of cigarillos are machine-made. So brands even go a step further to use homogenized wrappers or binders. Nevertheless, sometimes some premium brands use 100 percent hand-rolled tobaccos.

Cigarillos are usually packed in small tins or boxes of 10 or 20. They're perfect for those moments you crave the fine taste of a cigar but you don’t have much time to spare. If you don’t have time for a cigar of traditional proportion, these seven-minute small cigars are your go-to option. However, some purists would not even consider these cigars - the machine-made nature sets off an alert in their heads. The fact that some companies use homogenized tobacco also turns off such cigar aficionados. Some brands offering premium cigarillos for sale are Davidoff, Ashton, and ACID.
