Following concerns over consistency, production officially moved from Cuba to the Dominican Republic in 1991, where Master Blender Hendrik “Henke” Kelner and his team developed an entirely new portfolio instead of replicating the Cuban blends. One of the highest-rated cigars in this blend is the Davidoff Grand Cru No. 2, with 90 points.

Davidoff Aniversario: A mild-medium bodied staple initially launched to celebrate Zino Davidoff’s 80th birthday. It features a stunning Ecuador wrapper over proprietary Dominican binder and filler leaves. Smokers frequently seek this out in the Special R (Robusto) and Special T (Torpedo) formats. Cigar Aficionado magazine gave this blend a rating of 84 to 91 points, depending on the cigar and release date , noting its impeccable construction and complex tasting notes of leather, roasted almonds, and black pepper. Davidoff Millennium: This medium-full bodied blend incorporates a unique Ecuadorian 151 wrapper leaf, developed specifically to provide a darker, oilier exterior. Davidoff Nicaragua: This is the brand’s first major venture outside the Dominican Republic, offering cigars ranging from mild to medium-full bodied and full-bodied; this blend features a Nicaraguan wrapper made from “Rosado” seeds from Havana, aged for 10 years with one blend of Ecuadorian and Habano Wrapper. It receives a Cigar Aficionado rating ranging from 95 to 86, depending on the specific cigar and its characteristics. It is generally available in Robusto, Toro, and Gran Toro sizes. It features a dark Ecuadorian Habano wrapper over a Brazilian binder, with filler leaves from the Dominican Republic and Brazil (Mata Fina and Cubra). Davidoff Yamasa: A medium-full bodied, intense offering that uses tobacco cultivated in the notoriously difficult Yamasá region of the Dominican Republic. It sports a Dominican wrapper and binder over Nicaraguan and Dominican fillers. One of the brand’s few blends with a single wrapper. Produced in vitolas such as the Petit Churchill, Robusto, Toro and Piramides, it provides a powerful draw with deep tasting notes of earth, black pepper, and citrus. It scored between 85 and 90 in the Cigar Aficionado rankings, with Davidoff Yamasá Pirámides receiving the highest score of 90 points.

Davidoff Winston Churchill: A complex medium-bodied blend utilizing an Ecuador Rojiza wrapper, a Mexican San Andrés binder, and a multi-country filler blend from the Dominican Republic and Nicaragua. The tasting notes provide a profile of cedar, dried fruit, and a subtle creaminess. Available in sizes such as Churchill, Robusto, Petit Panatela, and Toro, it received scores ranging from 92 to 85 points in Cigar Aficionado magazine, depending on the cigar type and release date. The Davidoff Winston Churchill Petit Corona received the highest score of 92 points.

Davidoff Winston Churchill The Late Hour: This medium-full bodied variation utilizes filler tobacco aged in single malt Scotch whisky casks. It features a dark Ecuadorian, Habano Marron Oscuro wrapper and a Mexican San Andrés binder. Rolled perfectly in Churchill, Toro, Panatela and Robusto formats, it boasts a 86-89 Cigar Aficionado point for a robust flavor profile bursting with oak, dark spice, and sweet malt.

Davidoff Royal Release: The brand’s most popular and most expensive product. This medium-bodied blend features an exclusive Aromatica Dominicana wrapper and an Ecuadorian binder over an aged Dominican filler. Only eight designated “Master Rollers” are permitted to craft these cigars, resulting in a flawless vitola that offers an incredibly smooth and nuanced profile of toasted almonds, cream, and a slight citrus note.
