Cigar Country Events

Cigar Country Events’ Top DR Cigars annual Spring charity benefit celebrates the “Top Rated Dominican Cigars” chosen by the industry’s most prestigious publication and edition, Cigar Aficionado Cigar of the Year Top 25. Our Friendsgiving charity dinner celebrates giving back with a Thanksgiving turkey cookout competition on a smaller community scale.

Guests have the opportunity to enjoy a magical night amongst the most recognized premium cigar manufacturers in the world.  The entrance fee to this elegant cocktail party includes a limited-edition box containing the year’s winning handmade cigars, hors d’oeuvres, ultra-premium drinks, and a sampler of the best cigars in the industry.

Our annual charity event has become the most tastefully put together and joyful cigar event in the DR. We honor excellence in crafting handmade cigars, all for a great cause.  During the night, we hold raffles and auctions of exclusive getaways and items.

Thanks to the support of our friends, customers, and partners in the industry, our Cigar Aficionado Cigar of the Year charity has been able to raise more than 435,000.00 dollars towards the DREAM Project’s Montessori Early Education Program. Friendsgiving: is a blend of friend and Thanksgiving; it refers to a large meal eaten with dear friends either on or near Thanksgiving.

Cigar Country Events’ charity Friendsgiving dinner is held annually one week before Thanksgiving. Every year 10 of the Best Chefs in DR battle it out in a friendly competition for Best Turkey’s crown on the island. This is a beautiful community event that brings together La Romana residents in a friendly and happy competition. Our celebrity professional Chef judge panel determines the winner based on presentation and deliciousness.

Thanks to our community’s support, we have raised more than 30,000.00 dollars towards Hogar del Niño’s Montessori Early Education Program. For more info about Hogar del Niño and its transformative education programs that combat the effects of poverty, please visit Hogar del Niño.
