Davidoff Yamasa Review
The cigar uses wrapper and binder tobacco from the Dominican Republic’s Yamasa area, which is how the blend got its name. This inhospitable swampland with an optimum growing temperature and mineral-rich soil was transformed into a profitable tobacco-growing field thanks to Master Blender Henke Kelner and his team of agricultural specialists. Aged Nicaraguan long-filler leaves from Condega and Estel, two of the country’s best-growing regions, are also included in this revolutionary blend.
Appearance
Its shade-grown Yamasa wrapper is nearly immaculate, with very tight seams and a lovely oily patina, as one would anticipate from a Davidoff cigar. On the hand, the cigar feels substantial, with no soft areas or divots, and it appears much larger than its 6 x 52 dimensions.
First Third
The initial few puffs provide an abundance of black pepper after toasting the foot and lighting the cigar with a torch flame. Wood, leather, and cocoa tastes join the fray on the third and fourth draws, providing a rich medium to full-bodied experience that has you hooked!
Second Third
Sweet cream, wood, espresso, and earth blend in a beautiful balance, with black pepper dominating just on the retro-hale.
Final Third
This is the time at which all of the warm and inviting tastes, such as wood, leather, cocoa espresso, cream, and white pepper on the backend, beautifully mix to provide unparalleled complexity. This was a long-lasting smoke with a wonderful sweet tobacco fragrance. Only a few small touch-ups were required because the burn was immaculate right down to the nub, and it held long grey ash firmly. Throughout this review, Davidoff Yamasa was impossible to put down.
