Brand History

The heritage of this brand is nothing short of legendary. The story begins in 1865 when Don Eduardo Plasencia left the Canary Islands to farm tobacco in Vuelta Abajo, Cuba. Over a century later, after having their farms seized during the Cuban Revolution, the family relocated to Mexico, then Nicaragua, and eventually Honduras. In 1987, Nestor Plasencia stepped up, bringing the family operation back to Nicaragua in 1990. Today, they operate massive, highly respected farms and factories across both Honduras and Nicaragua, supplying exceptional tobacco not just for their own label, but for many heavy-hitters in the industry.

The flavor profile generally leans medium to full-bodied, heavily utilizing rich, volcanic soils to produce punchy, earthy notes.
