The Natural version features a seamless, medium-brown Ecuador Sumatra wrapper, while the Maduro version features a spicy Mexico San Andres wrapper. The fermented Nicaraguan Ligero combines perfectly with the wrappers to deliver rich flavors of leather and cedar with hints of nuts. Founder Melanio Oliva first grew his world-renowned full-flavored tobacco in Pinar Del Rio, Cuba, back in 1886. Additionally, three generations and two revolutions later, Melanio's grandson Gilberto found a new place to call home in Nicaragua's fertile lands. Today Gilberto, along with his family, is one of Nicaragua's largest growers of Cuban-seed tobac­co. They continue to use the same time-tested curing, blending, and rolling methods that built an empire.
