About Fuente Fuente Opus X
Arturo Fuente Fuente Fuente Opus X changed the Dominican cigar industry forever when it debuted in 1995. Before Carlos "Carlitos" Fuente Jr. trusted his intuition, the industry believed the mineral-rich terroir of the Dominican Republic could not produce high-quality wrapper tobacco. He proved them wrong by cultivating a beautiful shade-grown leaf at Chateau de la Fuente. This achievement resulted in the first-ever 100% Dominican puro, a highly sought-after cigar that cemented the brand's legendary status and showcased the true potential of Dominican tobacco.
When you light one up, you get a full-bodied profile loaded with bold tasting notes. The Master Blender achieved a balance of leather and earthy tones that interact perfectly with a core sweetness on the finish. As the wrapper, binder, and filler burn together, the smoke remains dense and complex. You will notice a flawless draw and an even burn line, highlighting the careful selection of premium seco and ligero leaves used in the blend.
This line remains incredibly sought-after because production is strictly limited, making it hard to find in stock. A fact about this blend is that the wrapper leaves are grown in the El Cibao valley, an area specifically chosen for a soil composition that rivals the best tobacco regions in the world.
