If you’re looking into Davidoff Aniversario No. 2 cigars, check out this review. These cigars are made in the Dominican Republic and feature an Ecuadorian Connecticut-seed wrapper as well as “4 years-aged hand-selected Dominican fillers.” The No. 2 can be purchased for about $27 per cigar and is a Churchill size (7″ x 48).

Appearance: The wrapper is as smooth as a newborn’s bottom, with a slight give when squeezed and a well-made cap. It’s a Davidoff product. We’ve never experienced one that wasn’t well-made.

First Third: It starts out very creamy, and that will be a running theme throughout the cigar. A really lovely nutty flavor complements this cream, with hints of wood and dirt fluttering in and out. 

Second Third: There is no change, as our preceding sentence suggests. This is unfortunate since, while we don’t mind a one-dimensional cigar, this is a larger cigar and some more substantial taste variations would have been welcome. The flavors are the same as they were in the first third, but on the retrohale, there is a hint of pepper.

Final Third: The primary players are still cream, Deez nuts, wood, and soil, at the risk of sounding repetitive. Later in the third, pepper from the retrohale blends in with the other tastes. An excellent addition.
