Ashton Classic Magnum and Double Magnum Review
Today, I will be reviewing these two highly-rated cigars giving you their similarities and differences. But for the most part, they are quite similar in flavor and taste.
My Ashton Double Magnum had a flawless construction; its blonde wrapper was smooth, silky, and glossy with few thin veins. On it was the regal golden, cream, and black-hued band. The pre-light draw had notes of butter, nuts, and graham crackers with grassiness in the equation.
When I lit it up, the initial puff had some sweetness thanks to its caramel and graham crackers. Hints of pepper and spices show along the way to give it some bounce. The ash was powdery and razor-sharp. Now, the initial spiciness dissolves into a creamy and nutty smoke with hints of cinnamon.
The first third had a creamy coffee base with hints of cedar, toasted almonds, and vanilla rounding off the equation. I get some mellowness here, but it slowly got intense towards the second third. Some grassiness and cappuccino joined in around this time.
As the cigar continued to burn down, the intensity of the smoke deepened. The stick became full-flavored with vanilla, cinnamon, pepper, cocoa, coffee, mocha, and cream, all battling. For a mild cigar, the plethora of flavors was astonishing.
I can categorically say that both the Ashton Classic Magnum and Double Magnum feel almost the same except for the woody, fruity, and café con leche aroma that joined the party. The smoking time also differs, with the classic magnum having a shorter smoke time.
Ashton Classic Magnum and Double Magnum have impeccable construction and a creamy taste. They are good to start the day with due to their mellowness. Pair these premium cigars with rum, cognac, or dark coffee for the utmost pleasure.
