Ashton Classic Cigars Review & Price Range

In the 1970s, Robert Levin took over his father’s cigar retail shop in Philadelphia. By the 1980s, he was not just satisfied with importing and selling; he decided to craft a cigar he could call his own. The Ashton Classic made its debut in 1985; it has consistently maintained its quality and flavor. Let’s review the Ashton Classic cigar!

The Connecticut shade wrapper is craftily bundled with 3 to 5-year-old Dominican binders and fillers. The product is creamy, nutty, and refined; the classic is one of the best mild cigars. The Ashton classic price, aroma, and flavor profiles make it the perfect entry into cigar smoking.

Ashton Classic Cigar Review

The Ashton Classic Churchill measures 7 ½ inches by 52-ring gauge and is wrapped in a golden-blond silky smooth Connecticut Shade leaf. Pressure from the head to the foot shows no signs of soft spots. A cold draw reveals flavors of cinnamon, nuts, and cream.

Lightening up this bad boy swept my senses with smooth, mellow, and creamy flavors. There is no wonder why it is regarded as a very mellow cigar in the truest sense. The first few puffs reveal creamy and nutty notes; cedar and cinnamon were also making entries. In typical Dominican fashion, there are elements of spices. The retro-hale is smooth and slightly spicy.

The aroma is neither overwhelming nor overpowering. It is often complimented by non-smokers. The middle third is dominated by the nut and cream flavor, with some oak sneaking in. Around the middle mark, I picked up a little bit of sweetness just around the edges of the wrapper. This complements the nut and creamier outlook of the cigars. The ash is gray-whitish, and it holds perfectly until ashing.

In the final third, the spice got bolder and more pronounced. I also tasted some tart almonds. The home run presented a carnival to my palettes with different mellow notes of spice, cedar, cinnamon, nuts, and cream. This smoking experience lasted about 1 hour and 30 minutes.

Ashton Classic is the poster boy for the mellow relaxation that the Ashton brand is known for. It offers a balance of flavors and aromas, presented as mellow and creamy. It is a very refined taste and presents a good choice for any cigar smoker. Truly the perfect stogie to introduce you to the world of smoking.
