Alfonso Cigars

Alfonso Cigars is an ultra-premium cigar brand from Selected Tobacco S.A., created by Nelson Alfonso, the master blender and visual artist behind Atabey and Byron. Named after the Alfonso family's century-long legacy of Cuban cigar craftsmanship dating back to 1850. The brand represents Nelson Alfonso's most personal creative statement: a line built entirely around patience, precision, and the art of aging.

Every cigar spends a minimum of five years aging post-roll in rooms lined with multiple cedar varieties and French oak, a technique borrowed from fine winemaking and applied to tobacco with the same reverence. As Nelson Alfonso himself puts it, "Cedar is to cigars as oak is to wine." The result is a portfolio of two distinct expressions , Alfonso Añejo and Alfonso Gran Selección , each offering a different character while sharing the same DNA of restraint, complexity, and refined aging. Both lines are produced at the Tabacos de Costa Rica factory in Puriscal, Costa Rica, in extremely limited annual quantities.
