Padron Series Londres Natural, otherwise known as Padrón Thousand (1000) Series, is a medium to full-bodied Corona cigar made entirely with Nicaraguan tobacco. The sun-grown wrapper is aged for a minimum of one and a half years. As the brand's slogan states, "When Padrón is on the label, quality is a matter of family honor." Jose Orlando Padron's family planted tobacco for generations. However, in the 1950s he left his position as a tobacco farmer and started working at a copper mine. Shortly after the mine closed, he joined the army. Despite becoming a lieutenant, he left the army, refused to take a government position, and flew to Spain. After a few months in Madrid, Padron hopped on the Steamship Covadonga and landed in the USA. He started out working in New York, then flew to Miami.
