Lonsdale Cigars

Lonsdale cigars have a classic size of 6 to 7 inches in length and are usually 42 to 44 ring gauge thick. These cigars bridge the gap between a Panetela and a Corona—combining the advantages of both worlds. The Lonsdale cigar is usually longer than a Corona but fatter than a Panetela or Lancero. This cigar combines the merits of a long cigar with a fairly normal width that improves the girth of the skinnier cigars. A balanced concentration of flavor characterizes Lonsdale. None of the elements of the cigars—wrapper, binder, or filler, have an overbearing effect on the tasting notes. Lonsdale places less emphasis on the intensity of the cigar, unlike the ultra-thin shapes.

Additionally, the Lonsdale cigar offers an elegant draw. One of the disadvantages of skinnier cigars is the poor draw due to the cramping together of the tobaccos. The Lonsdale cigar solves this problem. It allows the combination to breathe and provides the smooth draw you covert in a premium cigar. Also, the standard length of 6-7 inches provides the advantage of ample burn time. This provides you with more time to kick back, relax, and enjoy your premium cigars for a longer period. However, the long smoking period makes them less ideal for situations like waiting to be picked up at the airport. Also, if you prefer a dominant wrapper flavor, you should probably opt for a thinner cigar. Many premium cigar brands offer their amazing blends in this classic shape. H. Upmann Herman's Batch Lonsdale, H. Upmann Vintage Cameroon Lonsdale, and the Arturo Fuente Gran Reserva Maduro Spanish Lonsdale are some of the more popular choices.
