Corona Gorda translates to “fat” Coronas in Spanish - these cigars have a size of 5 ⅝ inches x 46 ring gauge. This is the mid-size format for Cuban cigars, and it suits all blends and powers. How are they different from the numerous cigar sizes? These cigars are Coronas rolled up with an extra amount of tobacco to meet the growing market demand for larger cigar rings. In addition to the increased width, you might get an extra half-inch in length. Some brands also refer to them as “toro” cigars.
