Foundation Charter Oak Especiales cigars are medium to full-bodied with either a Connecticut Shade or Broadleaf wrapper, a Jalapa Nicaraguan binder, and Estelí and Jalapa Nicaraguan filler tobacco. There are two vitolas: Pegnataro (CT Shade) and Pasquale (CT Broadleaf). Both are 5 ½" x 48 and soft box-pressed. These cigars come in beautiful wooden boxes with the Charter Oak tree design carved onto the lid. Hand-rolled at the Tabacos Valle de Jalapa (TABSA) factory in Nicaragua, each cigar features a ring with the blend logo on it and is packaged in counts of 12. Although these cigars are regular production, only 6,000 boxes are made per quarter. These special sticks are deeply personal for Melillo.
