La Canela Farm
240 acres of land in the Dominican Republic. The original 100 acres were co-owned with Jose Blanco from Tabacalera Palma. Gomez does not use any Dominican tobacco that does not come from his land. He monitors the entire operation closely, under a watchful eye, additionally to monitoring the factory just as closely. Furthermore, he does not sell any of his tobacco, using it to elaborate his own cigars. As a result, his cigars are as unique as he is. At the farm, the climate is dry and hot. The soil is rich in nitrogen and micronutrients, making the tobacco stronger, therefore, more concentrated than most tobacco grown in the Dominican Republic.
Almost every cigar to come out of the factory has some La Canela-grown tobacco in its DNA. Cigars like LFD Cameroon Cabinet No.3, El Jocko, and of course, the exclusive Andalusian Bull.
