About Romeo y Julieta 150th Anniversary
Romeo y Julieta 150th Anniversary cigars are a special commemorative release celebrating 150 years of the iconic Romeo y Julieta brand, which traces its roots back to 1875 in Cuba. Crafted at Tabacalera de Garcia in the Dominican Republic, this limited-edition line brings together world-class tobaccos from renowned growers for a rich, medium-bodied experience that honors the brand’s longstanding legacy. The blend features an Ecuadorian Sumatra wrapper fermented under the guidance of A.J. Fernandez, a Mexican San Andrés binder from the Turrent family, and long fillers from the Plasencia family (Honduran and Peruvian) plus Dominican tobacco from José Mendez & Co., resulting in a complex profile with notes of cedar, coffee, dark chocolate, cinnamon, and spice.
Released in multiple formats to suit different tastes, the 150th Anniversary line includes vitolas like the Prologue (5×50 Robusto), Balconet (6×54 Toro), and the larger Crescendo (7×50 Churchill), all presented in beautifully designed 16-count boxes or tins. This collection not only celebrates a century and a half of cigar craftsmanship but also reflects Romeo y Julieta’s heritage of innovation, storytelling, and collaboration with some of the most respected names in the cigar world. The anniversary edition has been introduced at major cigar events such as the Premium Cigar Association (PCA) Trade Show, where the brand showcased its history and devotion to quality, making these cigars both a collector’s item and a testament to enduring passion for the craft.
