Oliva Master Blends 3 (III) Liga Maestra are medium to full-bodied cigars and the third installment of the brand's limited artisanal collection. It features a beautiful Connecticut Broadleaf Sun Grown wrapper, a Nicaraguan binder, and Nicaraguan Ligero filler tobacco that combine to create rich and complex flavors. Together they deliver sweet and sour tastes with hints of spices, smoked nuts, and leather. This blend's master blender was Carlos Oliva, and it is handcrafted at the famous Tabacalera Oliva in Esteli, Nicaragua. There are only three sizes available: Torpedo, Robusto, and Churchill. Oliva Master Blends 3 Liga Maestra is one of the most complex blends by the brand. Founder Melanio Oliva first grew his world-renowned full-flavored tobaccos in Pinar Del Rio, Cuba, back in 1886. Additionally, three generations and two revolutions later, Melanio's grandson Gilberto found a new place to call home in Nicaragua's fertile lands. Today, Gilberto and his family are one of Nicaragua's largest growers of Cuban-seed tobac­co. They continue to use the same time-tested curing, blending, and rolling methods that built an empire.
