My Father La Opulencia

My Father Cigars brand added La Opulencia to its exotic portfolio of cigars in 2017 after much anticipation before its release. A year later, the cigar won the #2 Cigar of the Year title on Cigar Aficionado. The box-pressed cigar is clothed with a San Andres Mexican wrapper called “rosado oscuro” by the company. Underneath this are Corojo and Criollo binders and fillers from Cuban tobacco seeds grown by the Garcia family- the owner of My Father brand- on their plantations in Nicaragua, namely La Bonita, El Pedrero, and Las Lometas. The Nicaragua- Mexican combination is the most refined of the inter-country combinations My Father cigars ever used. The body, aroma, notes, and complexity harmonizes well. The cigar wrapper is glistening and optimally fermented with thin veins.
