Oliva Cigars: Brand & Blends Review

By Mariana Heredia
Oliva Cigars: Brand & Blends Review

Oliva cigars represent premium cigars with a variety of prices. If you want to try out this exquisite brand and are unsure which blend to try, Cigar Country is here to help. Read our review of the Oliva cigars and blends Series V, Series G, Serie O, Serie V Melanio, Connecticut Reserve, and Master Blends 3.

Brief History

Oliva Cigars began its history in 1886 by growing its premium tobacco in Pinar del Rio, Cuba. Melanio’s son “Facundo Oliva” overtook the presence of the production during early 1920. However, stability in Cuba was no longer favorable due to the growing communism. This obliged Facundo’s son “Gilberto Oliva” to broker tobacco instead of growing. When the pressure was too much Gilberto fleed the country in search of the perfect place to recreate their distinctive flavor. Gilberto visited the Philippines, Mexico, Panama, and Honduras. Until he finally settled in Nicaragua’s fertile ground.
