If you seem to be in a rush and cannot wait for your cigar to burn out it’s best you submerge the cigar in a glass of water. This way you can guarantee a put-out cigar.

It’s a personal choice whether to remove the cigar band before lighting your puro or until you’ve finished. Some see it as a way to start a conversation with other cigar enthusiasts. On the other hand, others see it as a way of showing off. Whatever suits you just make sure to remove the cigar band after lighting your puro. This is because the heat will loosen the glue holding it together. This way you won’t rip or harm the cigar wrapper.
